Patrocinium is expanding and looking for driven, passionate, analytical Quality Assurance Engineer to join our growing team in Reston, Virginia. We will consider junior to senior level quality assurance engineers depending on capabilities and fit.
Patrocinium is a start-up based in Reston, Virginia that develops next generation crisis and emergency management technology designed to save lives. Our 4D visualization and mobility solutions provide enterprises, venue, educators, and municipalities with the ability to manage crises and protect their employees, the public, and first responders. By integrating location data, cameras, facial recognition, door/biometric sensors, and other security data we provide our customers a best-in-class security and messaging platform. Our development team is small, talented, and flexible, which will allow you to perform testing work with great support but minimal friction, and to truly own the process. Therefore, we are seeking passionate engineers who are looking to work on cutting edge technology and are capable of making us better.
What You’ll Do:
Passionately drive the testing and delivery of high-quality products that ensure we meet customer expectations
Understand project requirements to ensure effective test objectives and to provide active input on requirements to ensure ability to effectively test
Translate end-user functional requirements into fully documented test cases
Build an internal test team and work within Agile Scrum teams to identify, create, and maintain test data during development and deployment needed to execute test cases
Drive test execution and record, retest, and close defects when expected results not achieved
Lead communication efforts with software engineers to analyze test results and debug problems
Own the advancement of automated testing, identifying appropriate tools and processes for integrating with development process
Work in an Agile development environment constantly testing new product offerings and developing CI/CD testing best practices
Required Skills and Experience:
2+ years of experience in quality assurance engineering or full stack software development
Ability to ‘ask the right questions’ and troubleshoot test results issues across platform architecture, cloud infrastructure and clients
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Software testing within AWS infrastructure, or alternatively with Azure or Google Cloud; with general understanding of Cloud Watch analytics
Experience implementing automated testing tools, such as Ranorex, Selenium, Cucumber, Test Complete, etc.
Ability to locate and read system log files
Understanding PostgresSQL, MySQL or similar databases
Understanding Linux and Windows servers
Programming languages such as Java, Angular, Typescript, Node.js and Objective C
GitLab and release management capabilities
Testing of iOS and Android mobile applications
Experience working in an Agile workplace and competency in CI/CD process is desirable.
