Patrocinium is a start-up based in Reston, Virginia that develops next generation crisis and emergency management technology. Our platform-as-a-service (PaaS) provides enhanced situational/location awareness in order to reduce time to crisis resolution and save lives. By integrating location data, cameras, facial recognition, door/biometric sensors, and other security data we provide our customers with a best-in-class security platform. Our development team is small, talented, and flexible, which will allow you to perform work with great support but minimal friction, and to truly own solutions. Therefore, we are seeking passionate leaders who are looking to work on cutting-edge technology and are capable of making us better.
What You’ll Do:
Lead the architecture and design of various elements of our CI/CD development ensuring platform services capable of scaling to massive workloads
Architect the proper technical solutions to provide excellent, functional user experience to our customer, especially during crisis situations
Define the standards/KPIs for building such large-scale computing systems and applications
Interact with our business stakeholders and company leaders to implement and improve infrastructure and practices
Communicate and explain the vision to our stakeholders and business leaders
Embrace and extend new state of the art technology into our system
Optimize deployment and operations of applications within AWS platform (EC2, S3, Lambda) and Kubernetes deployment tools
Work in an Agile development environment constantly developing new product offerings
Required Skills and Experience:
10+ years of experience with strong track record in designing and implementing scalable platform deployments
Hands-on experience in designing and implementing cloud applications, preferably with deployments on AWS, or alternatively on Azure, GCP or open source cloud technologies, such as OpenStack, CloudStack, etc.
Experience with deployment orchestration, automation, and containerization configuration management (Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc.)
Proficient and demonstrated knowledge of Node.js, Sequelize, and PostgreSQL
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Experience in working closely with customers, stakeholders, engineering teams to design solutions through the full software product life cycle from initiatives to final products/deployments
Experience with serviced-oriented architecture and experience in a complete CI/CD pipeline design with microservices-based approach
Experience with third-party authorization frameworks such as OpenID Connect, OAuth, & SAML
Experience with D3.js and integrating it into an Angular application
Experience working with or building various business rules engines or Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools/APIs (e.g.; TensorFlow, Caffe, Amazon Machine Learning)
Experience working in an Agile workplace and competency in CI/CD is desirable
MS in Computer Architecture, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer engineering-related field
